The AI VTuber platform built for OC creators

Echuu (Echo + Chuuu) is a co-creative performance engine and AI VTuber streaming platform for original-character (OC) creators.

From character sheet to live, in three steps

Choose a look

Start with a sample character, or upload a VRM model you have the rights to use.

Write the persona

Give them a personality, a backstory and a way of talking.

Pick a topic

Write your stream topic, preview it, and go live.

A persona is more than a character sheet.

Speak in character

Personality and history shape how they talk.

Turn a topic into a story

Start from one topic and give the character something to tell.

Let viewers take part

Comments and gifts can shape what happens next.

Chat today. What about next time?

More modes are in development. Release timing is not set.

Every character starts with a creator

We will always support human artists and the people who build IP.

Illustrators, rigging artists, and 3D modellers are welcome to bring characters to the stage with us.

Journal

Expression is character continuity

BlendShapes, gaze, pose, and camera movement must work as one system. A character should retain the same personality in wide shots, close-ups, and transitions.

Clearly disclosing where AI is involved

Audiences should be able to identify AI-driven virtual characters and generated media. Echuu is developing clear labels, creator responsibilities, and feedback channels alongside expressive performance.

Before your first scene

What is Echuu?

Echuu is an AI VTuber performance and streaming platform for original-character (OC) creators. Bring a character, a persona and a topic, and your character tells stories and plays off the audience.

How does AI performance differ from motion capture?

AI performance uses a persona and topic to drive dialogue and voice. Motion capture maps a human performer’s expressions and movements onto a virtual character. Available capabilities depend on the current beta version.

What model do I need?

Use a sample character, or a VRM model you have the rights to use, then add a persona and a topic. VRM is a common 3D avatar format; please check the model’s license before uploading.

How do chat messages and gifts affect the character?

In interactive demos, chat messages and gifts feed into how the character responds and where the topic goes next. Not every feature shown here is available to every account yet; check your beta invite and release notes.

Do creators keep their character rights?

Creators retain their existing rights to original characters and assets; third-party assets remain subject to their licenses. Applying for the beta or uploading a model is not consent to public website display. See the character and asset terms for details.
